Facilities and Resources

Home Facilities and Resources

Resources and facilities for research with human participants and neurological patients at NaN Lab encompass virtually all state-of-the-art techniques currently available in the field.

We maintain a number of behavioural testing environments, including dedicated setups specifically designed for the accurate delivery of visual, auditory, and somatosensory stimuli.

Our core equipment includes:

In addition, our department has access to both 1.5T and 3T MRI, as well as 3T task-related fMRI facilities at Puerta del Mar University Hospital, fully funded and maintained through departmental resources.

Our group also has full access to ultrasensitive immunoassay platforms, including ELISA and SR-X SIMOA, enabling the quantification of blood-based brain biomarkers in serum and plasma samples.

High-density EEG systems

2 high-density EEG systems: - EGI GSN 400 amplifier with 128-channel HCGSNs - Brain Products actiCHamp Plus with 128-channel R-Nets - Integrated solutions used to record peripheral physiology signals (EMG, GSR, EKG, accelerometers, etc.)

TMS systems

2 repetitive TMS systems: - 2 Magstim Super Rapid² Plus systems for rTMS and TBS - 2 tDCS/tACS systems - 2 full tSMS caps

MRI and fMRI technologies

Our group has a functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit, equipped with a MRI scanner available to researchers. It is a 1.5T Siemens Trio scanner

Eye-tracker system

Eye-tracker Tobii Pro Fusion. Screen-based eye tracker, capturing gaze data at speeds up to 250 Hz.
