Facilities and Resources
Resources and facilities for research with human participants and neurological patients at NaN Lab encompass virtually all state-of-the-art techniques currently available in the field.
We maintain a number of behavioural testing environments, including dedicated setups specifically designed for the accurate delivery of visual, auditory, and somatosensory stimuli.
Our core equipment includes:
-
Two 128-channel high-density EEG systems
(Geodesic Sensor Net 400, EGI; and R-Net, actiCHamp+, Brain Products) -
Two neuronavigation-guided TMS systems
(Magstim SuperRapid² Plus, supporting both rTMS and TBS protocols), two tDCS/tACS stimulators, and two full tSMS caps - A high-precision eye-tracking system for gaze data acquisition at 250 Hz (Tobii)
- Two integrated systems for recording human local field potential (LFP) activity alongside peripheral physiological signals (EMG, GSR, ECG, accelerometry, and others)
- An automated, markerless gait analysis and movement-tracking system with high-speed, multi-perspective data acquisition
In addition, our department has access to both 1.5T and 3T MRI, as well as 3T task-related fMRI facilities at Puerta del Mar University Hospital, fully funded and maintained through departmental resources.
Our group also has full access to ultrasensitive immunoassay platforms, including ELISA and SR-X SIMOA, enabling the quantification of blood-based brain biomarkers in serum and plasma samples.
