Más info

The researcher has developed expertise in non-invasive brain neuromodulation and clinical neuroscience, with proficiency in TMS (including theta burst stimulation), tDCS, EEG, EMG, and eye-tracking in neurological populations (Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and chronic migraine). Research activities have been primarily conducted at the Puerta del Mar University Hospital (Cádiz), encompassing experimental design, neuropsychological assessment, and psychophysiological signal processing.

The researcher has participated in four nationally and regionally funded competitive projects, including a multicenter study on TMS effects on MS-related fatigue, and has collaborated with the University of Granada on a Spanish Ministry of Health-funded project on gambling addiction. This latter line of research has yielded two first-author publications employing eye-tracking to examine attentional biases in individuals at risk of problem gambling.

Currently enrolled in the PhD program in Health Sciences at the University of Cádiz, the researcher is pursuing a dissertation on emotional processing impairments in Parkinson’s disease through neuromodulation and psychophysiological recordings. Scientific output includes peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and over 25 presentations at national and international conferences, including SEPNECA and the International Brain Stimulation Conference.

The overarching research goal is to advance a consolidated line of inquiry into neuromodulation and psychophysiological biomarkers in neurological disorders, contributing to the development of personalized, evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
