I am a researcher in clinical neuroscience specializing in non-invasive brain neuromodulation and psychophysiological assessment in neurological disorders. My research primarily focuses on the use of eye-tracking, particularly the study of pupillary responses under neuromodulation conditions, to investigate cognitive and emotional processing in clinical populations. This work is complemented by the use of techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), electroencephalography (EEG), and electromyography (EMG) in disorders including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and chronic migraine.
I have developed my research mainly in clinical and hospital-based settings, contributing to experimental design, neuropsychological assessment, and the acquisition and analysis of psychophysiological and behavioral data. I have participated in competitive research projects funded at regional and national levels, as well as in multidisciplinary and multicenter collaborations focused on the effects of neuromodulation on motor, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Cádiz, where my research examines emotional processing impairments in Parkinson’s disease through the integration of neuromodulation techniques and psychophysiological recordings. My professional goal is to advance the use of neuromodulation and physiological biomarkers to support the development of personalized, evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
